Training Skills Workshop (train-the-trainer) – The Skill Acquisition Method

A 6-day Workshop for Supervisors, Designated Trainers, and HR Training Managers

Trainers leave this workshop with the confidence to design and deliver “learn by doing experiences” for their trainees rather than presentation skills that don’t result in trainee skill acquisition back on the job.

This train-the-trainer workshop is different from others you have experienced because it is designed with the principles of Intercultural Transformational Leadership along with recent research in adult learning. One reason it is radically different from traditional train-the-trainer workshops is because our goal is not knowledge transfer, but instead: facilitating skill acquisition.

Our clients report an extremely high ROI for this workshop. It has proven effective with Western-Asian mixed multicultural departments. Trainers who are less than 30 years old are able to master this new approach immediately, older trainers need more time to replace their training habits with the Skill Acquisition Method.

At the end of this course, participants will have gained the experience, knowledge, and skills (craftsmanship) for:

• Designing 20 minute training sessions
• Sequencing training tasks and training programs
• Overcoming resistance to training
• Making training a motivating experience – even for the most boring tasks
• Analyzing (and bullet-proofing) procedures
• Non-Evaluative Coaching
• Developing materials – trainer outlines, trainee guides, quizzes, job aids
• Leading/Delivering training sessions
• Working as a team to design and refine training methods and materials
• Evaluate training effectiveness
